The largest Dolphin we have taken in Louisiana
weighed 68 1/2 pounds caught by Mel Richard. Pictured is a 67 pound Dolphin taken on 20
pound spin tackle by Phil Castro. These two Dolphin rank second and third in the all time
Louisiana Records. Both fish were hooked at the northern most bouy of a semi-submersible
rig 40 miles south of Grand Isle. The fish were captured within 2 weeks of each other.
